Online DRAWING atelier 

This is exclusive online atelier content for students of Bucks County Classical Arts Center. The pages are password protected and is intended to augment and give more detail to the classroom experience.

Passwords are sent out after enrollment.
Students click on the page you want to and enter your password. Once you are logged in you can click on whichever page you like without re-entering your password.

  • Wednesday & Saturday 9 AM Painters only zoom session Content and Critique. Opens at 8:45 for Socializing
  • Wednesday & Saturday 10 AM -12 PM STUDIO Zoom Room Work and or Socialize with others like you would do in a regular Studio Session
  • Wednesday & Saturday 10 AM FaceBook Live Demonstration on https://www.facebook.com/BucksCountyClassicalArtsCenter this is also available in our regular zoom room.
  • Wednesday & Saturday 12 noon - 12:30/1 PM- ish : All students Drawing Presentation by John and Critique of student work (sent in via email or through webcam live if possible)  After Presentation and Critique I will leave the room open for Socializing and studio time at everyone's comfort level until 2PM.
  • Wednesdays 6:30-9:30 PM Quick Sketch Sessions Via Zoom ( Different secure zoom code sent each week ) 
  • This isn't a change but a reminder: individual critique time is available if you give me notice. For example; I could schedule a private zoom meeting at 11:30 on Wednesday while the rest of the class is in the studio time
I am trying to make the experience more concise and purposeful for a few reasons. 1) I want to make sure the content is being delivered. 2) I want to make sure that your studio time is honored or even created if it is not happening for you. Here is your chance to do it. Put music on, share your work with each other! 3) Social Time is important and I want to leave a space for that. Leaving the room open "between events" and after does this.

My commitment is to try to bring a meaningful closure to the academic progress of the year and to maintain and even improve our unique social group dynamic. I think these tweaks will help all this at the same time. This is your virtual environment to succeed in!

Students are encouraged to hand draw the following objects 4x each and then shade them using 1)only lights, 2)  only midtones, 3) only darks and the last one 4) using black middle grey and white.
